In the more than 40 years that I have been active in civil aviation, I have served as Captain on commuter and business aircraft and accumulated more than 13,000 hours of flight time. I have flown the Learjet 25, 35 and 55, the Gulfstream II, III, and IV, and the Bombardier Global Express. In addition to my extensive international flight experience I have also served as a Standards Pilot , Part 135 Check Airman, Lead Captain, Chief Pilot, Base Manager, Director of Operations and Director of Safety for large aviation management , charter, and fractional ownership companies.
I have provided turnkey 14 CFR Part 135 Certification services for several operators of varying sizes, including world-wide operators of aircraft with more than ten passenger seats, and have developed and maintained all the manuals required to support these operations. After I became a registered IS-BAO auditor in 2009, I worked closely with IBAC to develop the policy for the IS-BAO registration of an aircraft management company, and participated in several industry audits, including IS-BAO and ARG/US Platinum.
As a consultant, I have worked with a FlightSafety, International as a Subject Matter Expert on several eLearning courses, and have engaged with Pulsar Informatics (FatigueMeter.com) in the development and promotion of new tools and solutions for Fatigue Risk Management Systems in business aviation.
Since 2014, I have contracted as a Business Aviation Auditor with ARG/US PROS and have conducted IS-BAO (Stages 1,2,3), ARG/US AAS, ACSF, BARS, and ORNGE audits on more than 120 companies.
From 2017-2020, I served as the Director of Safety for a business helicopter operator, developing and maturing the SMS and undergoing audits from IS-BAO (Stage 3), Wyvern (Wingman), ARGUS (Platinum) and ACSF (IAS Registered Operator)
I have spent many years developing foreign language skills, and am currently fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese (Brazilian). I also have a working knowledge of Italian and Mandarin Chinese, in addition to a lesser proficiency in several other languages.
